The Ballstad story

As you journey beyond the Arctic Circle in the north of Norway, you'll come across a small fishing village named Ballstad, situated at the 68th parallel north and the 13th meridian east. The Strictest Oxidation demands

Oxidation is a significant indicator of the quality of oil. Low oxidation levels provide protection against harmful free radicals, enhance sensory properties, and extend shelf life. Our production process is carried out in an oxygen-free environment with strict temperature controls to minimize contact with oxygen from start to finish. Additionally, we add natural antioxidants to the finished product, and each batch undergoes meticulous testing.

We use state-of-the-art equipment to measure every stage of the oxidation process with high accuracy, and we employ both liquid and gas chromatography to detect even the tiniest amounts of unwanted by-products. Our oxidation limits are less than half of those specified in the GOED Monograph.
